College Life

I miss my college days a lot. I had a great time with my friends for the past four years. When I joined the college I had no one to my recognition but when I left that place I felt like missing everything. We are group of 12. We enjoyed like anything in this past four years. We went to a tour for Kerala in the third year and our bondage increased there. We had great time there. Our farewell was one thing which I can’t forget in my life. We really partied a lot and had great fun. Now everyone has got their own work and we are absorbed in it. Though we meet in here and there, we really miss each other. I can’t forget the class rooms where we had great fun.

I really miss my college life and my college friends.

Inflation Rate goes down

So finally inflation rate has come down for the second time in twenty eight weeks. Though it has not made that difference in the lives of an ordinary Indian, it has certainly shows a ray of hope for the economists. Many believe that the inflation rate may come down to a desirable level in a short time. Now the crude oil rate in the international market has also come down. Crude oil price hike was mainly blamed for the inflation rate hike. Since a crude oil rate has gone down, there has been a sigh of relief from the economists. But still the situation is gloomy. The policy makers can be relaxed only when the inflation reaches below 6%. To achieve that we have to traverse through a long way. Lets hope that we attain the below 6% mark very soon.

Wipro and Infosys pulling out of Chennai!!!!!!!

Many people in Chennai city will have a common complaint and that one is the poor traffic and road conditions in the city. Especially during the morning and the evening hours the traffic is very bad in almost all parts of Chennai. Because of this many office goers, students and common people find it difficult to travel by road. There has been constant complains about this but the authorities are not taking appropriate steps to check this. Now this problem is taking an ugly turn. After Bengaluru, Chennai is considered as the hub of IT activities. But because of this poor infrastructure and road conditions some IT giants have decided to pull out from Chennai. Companies like Wipro and Infosys have made open statement regarding this. If this is going to happen then the development of city will be stagnant. At least now the Chennai Corporation must take steps to counter this problem and make Chennai as one of the best cities in the country otherwise we will loose our economic prospect because of negligence.

India wins

India has finally avenged for their defeat in the Asia Cup by beating Srilanka in the ODI series which held in Srilanka. Though India lost their first match against them they came back strongly in the next match and won the three matches consecutively winning the 5 match series easily. Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Suresh Raina played an anchor role in the batting order and Zaheer Khan, Munaf Patel and Harbajhan Singh bowled well. Many thought Mendis will be great threat to India after the recently concluded test series where he had a great success in his debut itself. But Indians approached him with great caution and I n fat played well against him. This a great piece of game shown by our Indians.

India @ Beijing

Indeed this has been the greatest performance by India in the Olympics. Indian athletes have won three medals which include the first ever gold medal in individual events and two bronze medals. Abhinav Bindra won the gold in the 10 m rifle event. Vijendra Kumar won the bronze in boxing and Sushil Kumar won the bronze medal in wrestling. Though medals were expected from other shooting players and in tennis but unfortunately none of them made a challenging performance there. But nevertheless the three Indians have brought us glory by showing commendable performance. Indians are expecting more medals in the next Olympics which is going to be held in London. But for now the nation salutes the three heroes who have brought us pride from Beijing.

Nano Problem

TATA’s dream car Nano is facing a great problem in the Singur district of West Bengal where the production plant for the Nano has been established. There locals out there are protesting against this project because their land has been taken by the government and given to the TATA. Moreover the opposition leaders over there are tying to take the political mileage out of this issue and staging a protest against the economic development of this region. Now TATA is trying to relocate its plant location. Many states like Maharashtra are persuading the TATA to come to their state and are ready to give them the land they desire. Now the future of India’s Dream Car lies in the hands of the people of the Singur.

Closing Ceremony of Olympics 2008

After 16 days of great sporting entertainment the Olympics finally ended in the grand fashion. The past 16 days had been great for the sports lovers all over the world. Many great performances attracted the appreciation of many people around the world. Micheal Phelps, Usain Bolt, Yelena were some of the athletes who made a remarkable showcase of their talent in their respective fields. In India’s point of view this has been the most successful Olympics so far with three medals to the kitty and above all that India got its first individual gold medal. Abhinav Bindra got the gold medal in the shooting and two bronze medals were got in wrestling and boxing by Sushil Kumar and Vijendra Singh. The closing ceremony was no less than the opening ceremony. As expected the cultural events in the Bird’s Nest stadium was a spectacular feast to the eyes. The next Olympics will be held in London in 2012. After this grand showdown by the Chinese the expectation level has increased and the British are expected to put a good show.

Senior Cricketers Neglected

Indian cricket team is now in the hands of young people. And there is a huge support from the management side too for the young team. Sachin Tendulkar, Saurav Ganaguly, Rahul Dravid, VVS Laxman and Anil Kumble are the so called seniors in the team. They are the senior most players in the team. These five players are considered as one of the bests in the world. But now many experts feel that their time is over. They ruled the Indian cricket for the past ten years and now they are finding tough competition from their younger counterparts. Because of increasing age their fitness level is going down which affects their performance in the field. Because of this there is a clear rift in team. Even the management wants young team and so they are ignoring the senior players which has created a great controversy in the recent times. What ever it be Indian public needs a better performance from Indian team. When that is satisfied then they are ready to support anyone.

Bad roads in Chrompet

The road conditions in Chrompet are far worse than the hilly terrains. None of the roads are in good conditions. Almost all the roads in Chrompet are either dug or left without being laid a new one. This makes the life difficult for the motorcyclists and four wheelers. Now the roads are dug for the underground drainage system so they are dug in the middle of the road. So it is difficult to travel through such roads. The big problem is that the contractors are taking longer time to finish the work so the residents are finding difficult to traverse through those roads. In a few weeks time the monsoon is going to begin so if the work is not completed within that time period then it will create havoc in the lives of the residents. The authorities must step in and take appropriate actions in order to ensure that good roads are laid before the monsoon commences.

Usain Bolt

Usain Bolt as his name suggests he is like a thunder. I have never seen anyone running 100m race like him before. Though he was expected to win the medal, the way he ran those 100m was something incredible. Especially the way he finished by looking into audience not caring about the finishing line and yet he made in that in a world record time. Nothing can be compared to his sprints. This 100m dash was considered as the best in the Olympic history because of the tough competition in the event. Adding more glory to his running campaign he won the 200m and 4*100m relay too. Both been done in a record time. Even in the 200m race he was very casual in his running and also finished that in a world record time. As far as I am concerned I hail as the greatest sprinter of all time.

Petrol and Deisel Price Hkes

The petrol and diesel process are high now a days. This is because of the global market crude oil rate. It is more than $130 per barrel. Because of this global price hike the petrol and diesel prices n the Indian subcontinent is nearly Rs.55 and Rs.35. this greatly affects the economy of our country. Because price hike in petrol and diesel means it indirectly affects the prices of other essential commodities. That is because the transport agents have increased their rate to accommodate their expenses. Ell products in the market are sold with a price hike. I got a SMS few days back which said ‘Finally the dream has come true the beer is much cheaper than the petrol’. This may sound funny but it reflects the pathetic condition of our economy.

Phelps- The Sensational

There is no word to describe this man who broke all records in the swimming in this 2008 Beijing Olympics. He won 8 gold medals in this single Olympics beating the previous record of Mark Spitz. He is none other than the swimmer from the United States of America, Michael Phelps. And moreover he won 14 gold medals overall in all Olympic games and creating a world record in Olympics. He got all the gold medals in a record timing which is another amazing fact about this excellent athlete. His performance in the water pool made everyone wonder about his skills and ability. He is considered as the greatest ever swimmer of this era. And he deserves that name rightly.

Federrer- Undisputed King

Roger Federrer is considered as the uncrowned king of tennis court. He was the world number one for the past 4 years. After Pete Sampras, Roger Federrer is considered to be the best player on the circuit and he lived up to that expectation till recently. But after the arrival of the Spaniard Rafael Nadal turned to be the end of a great streak. Federrer defeated him at the early stages but now Nadal has got the upper hand and has defeated him in the Wimbledon. Defeating Federrer in the grass court is equivalent to defeating a lion in its den. Nadal did that. And now Nadal is he number 1 player in the world pushing Federrer to number two spot. But still many believe that Federrer is the best player on the court. May be he is in the second rank but he is the uncrowned king of the tennis world.

Beijing Olympics

The 2008 Olympics began in Beijing, the capital of the People Republic of China. The opening ceremony was so grand that it is hailed as one of the best sport festive of the world. Personally I have not seen such a grandeur opening ceremony for any event in the world. The events in the opening ceremony were rich in the Chinese culture and there is no words to explain about the fireworks which lightened the whole dark sky of the Beijing in the night. Traditionally the Olympic torch was lit which will not extinguished till the closing ceremony of the games. Now the whole world is waiting to see what is going to happen the Olympics. The Indian contingent was lead by Rajavardhan Singh Rathore. Medals are expected in shooting, tennis and boxing. Lots of hopes are there for Indian express- Leander Paes and Mahesh Bhupathi. India is hoping to get a gold medal at least this. With fingers crossed I am looking forward for the Olympics.

Abhinav Bindra

Abhinav Bindra has finally created a history in Indian sporting history by winning the first ever gold medal in an individual event in Beijing Olympics. This is first the gold medal for since 1980 Moscow Olympics where India came first in hockey. Bindra really showed a great character by winning the gold. He had a serious back problem and was not able to lift his rifle for nearly six months. Moreover his physicians advised him to give up his shooting career. But he was very determined and worked hard. Even after winning the gold medal he was very calm and composed. He has lifted the spirits of the Indian sportsmen.

Kuselan-A Review

Kuselan the much hyped film of Super Star Rajinikanth turns out to be one of the badly filmed movies of all time. P.Vasu is the director of this film with Rajini, Meena, Pasupathi, Nayantara as the lead casts. This story of the film revolves around the friendship between a film star and his poor friend. There was much expectation from this movie unfortunately it is far below par than the expectation level. The only factor which drives the crowd to the film theatres is Rajinikanth. Other than the film has nothing special in it. The music of the film is quite OK. Music director G.V.Prakash has done a decent job. Overall the film gets 4 in the scale of 10.

Inflation Rate Hike

Inflation is soaring up like anything. I wonder what our Indian economists are doing right now. It is a pitiful condition of our Indian economy. For the past five months, starting from the month the month of March the inflation is climbing high. This has indeed affected the Indian middle class society to a large extent. If this condition prevails then the middle class will find it difficult to have a comfortable life in the subcontinent. So our Indian economists must do something in order to tame this inflation hike and bring it down to an acceptable limit only then survival of our Indian middle class is possible.

Kung Fu Panda

I saw Kung Fu Panda recently. It is one of the best animation films released in the film world. The Panda which aspires to become a Kung Fu fighter ends up with the Dragon Fighter, the highest honor any Kung Fu fighter can get. The film is all about how well the Panda masters the Kung Fu in spite of his inferior physique. And this film also has a moral touch, which says that if we work hard and believe in ourselves then we can defeat anyone. I rate this film as 8.5. This is a must watch film for all people. No age limits everyone can enjoy this movie.
